the specialists.
Our specialists are OHSA awareness trained, Working at Heights compliant, and have respirator fit testing and a respiratory protection program in place. All our associates must be type 3 asbestos abatement certified.
When removing the texture, we use state-of-the-art source-capture tools, and HEPA-assisted sanding. Debris is bagged and removed, followed by a wipe-down and final HEPA vacuum pass.
the removal.
the containment.
We seal the room with poly and zipper access, to protect floors and walls, and we mask HVAC vents. Our specialists then install the main air filtration unit, which features industry standard true HEPA filters, rated to remove at least 99.97% of airborne particles at 0.3 microns (the standard test point).
the finish.
To achieve a smooth, flat ceiling, we skim coat and sand to level out the surface. We then prime to seal it in, inspect, and if needed, do another round of patching, sanding, and priming. The final step is painting your new flat ceiling, followed by final cleanup and inspection.
pricing.
We keep our pricing very competitive in the market, with straightforward ranges based on scope. We price popcorn ceiling removal per square foot, depending on the finish level. The ranges below assume a primed, paint-ready ceiling, with full containment and clean-up included.
Pricing moves within the range based on what we run into on site: ceiling height, fixtures and cut-ins, how stubborn the texture is (or if it has been painted), and how many finishing passes are needed.
